Acer Predator Helios 16 PH16-71 (2023) Launches in Nepal With Latest Intel and RTX 40 Series

Acer has introduced the Predator Helios 16 PH16-71 (2023) in Nepal, part of its refreshed gaming laptop lineup that now includes just the Helios 16 and Helios 18 models. The Helios 16 brings the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors and RTX 40 series GPUs, making it a compelling choice for gamers and power users.

The laptop is powered by either the 14-core Core i7-13700HX or the desktop-level 24-core Core i9-13900HX processor, both of which deliver strong performance for gaming and multitasking. GPU options range from the RTX 4050 to the high-end RTX 4080 (165W), ensuring there is a configuration to suit different budgets and performance needs.

Storage and memory are equally flexible, with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 4800 MHz and options for up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage in RAID 0 across two M.2 slots.

Cooling is handled by the 5th Gen Aeroblade 3D fans paired with vector heat pipes, and Acer has applied liquid metal to the CPU for even better thermal management. The laptop features a dedicated Mode key to switch between performance presets, including Turbo mode for maximum overclocked performance. The updated NitroSense app (now version 4) includes a Scenario Manager for custom performance profiles and supports the new Predator Pulsar lighting system for the mini-LED backlit keyboard, with improved per-key RGB uniformity.

Design-wise, the Helios 16 sports a cleaner, more subtle look with revised edges and a redesigned rear panel that houses a light bar above the exhaust vents. Port selection is generous, with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, an ethernet jack, an SD card reader, a combined audio jack, and a Kensington lock slot spread across the sides.

Display options include a 15.6-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio. While the 250Hz Mini-LED panel is not available in Nepal, buyers can choose between a 165Hz IPS option with full sRGB coverage or a faster 240Hz IPS panel offering 100% DCI-P3 color coverage.

The Acer Predator Helios 16 is now available in Nepal through authorized laptop retailers and computer stores. Pricing starts at NPR 162,999 for the base model with a Core i7-13700HX and RTX 4050. The RTX 4060 variant is priced at NPR 188,999. For those seeking higher performance, the Core i9 with RTX 4070 model costs NPR 265,000, while the top-end configuration featuring the Core i9 and RTX 4080 is priced at NPR 330,000.

The laptop carries a 90 Wh Li-ion battery and features dual speakers for an enhanced audio experience.
