Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-55 (2022) Launches in Nepal with 12th Gen Intel and RTX 3060

Acer has updated its popular Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop line with the PH315-55 (2022) model, now available in Nepal. Powering this iteration is Intel’s 12th Gen H-series processor, specifically the Core i7-12700H, a 14-core chip that combines six performance cores with eight efficiency cores for optimal gaming and multitasking performance.

The laptop pairs this processor with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU featuring 6GB of GDDR6 memory and a 115W TGP, ensuring smooth gameplay for demanding titles. Memory support has been upgraded to DDR5, with two SO-DIMM slots offering up to 16GB out of the box and room to expand to 32GB in the future. Storage options include two M.2 slots set up in a RAID 0 configuration for increased speed and capacity.

Cooling is handled by Acer’s 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan system, featuring dual fans with 89 blades each, complemented by liquid metal thermal grease and the proprietary CoolBoost thermal management solution to maintain performance during extended gaming sessions.

Design updates for the 2022 model are subtle but notable. The hinge now features two distinct pedestals that elevate the display above the keyboard deck, giving the laptop a more refined appearance. The top lid still bears the Predator logo, though the curved accent lines seen on earlier versions have been removed for a sleeker look.

On the display front, the 15.6-inch FHD model—currently the only size available in Nepal—boasts a 165Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time, providing fast and responsive visuals. While a QHD variant exists, it has yet to reach the Nepali market.

Connectivity options include four USB ports, one of which is USB-C with Thunderbolt 4 support, alongside HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The laptop is powered by a 90Wh battery and ships with a 230W AC adapter.
