Alewa Moon Smartwatch Arrives in Nepal

Alewa, a recognized Nepali brand for accessories such as earbuds and smartwatches, has expanded its lineup with the new Alewa Moon smartwatch. This device brings together a sleek design, robust health tracking, and essential smart features, all at an attractive price point.

Design and Build

The Alewa Moon measures 46 by 10.7 mm and weighs just 48 grams, making it comfortable for everyday wear. It comes in three color options: Rose Gold, Deep Vermilion, and Starry Silver. The watch is built with a combination of zinc alloy, plastic for the main body, and aluminum alloy for the IML buttons, while the strap is crafted from silicone and stainless steel. It is rated at 3ATM, offering dust and water resistance suitable for daily use.

The smartwatch features a 1.43-inch AMOLED full-screen touch display with a sharp resolution of 466 by 466 pixels, providing vivid colors and deep blacks.

Features and Functionality

The Alewa Moon supports Bluetooth calling, enabling users to make, receive, reject calls, view call logs, and store contacts directly from their wrist. It tracks a wide range of fitness metrics including steps taken, distance traveled, and calories burned, supporting over 100 different exercise modes.

In addition to fitness tracking, the device includes several handy tools such as a calculator, stopwatch, weather updates, alarm clock, voice assistant, photo control, and music playback control.

Health Monitoring

A key highlight of the Alewa Moon is its advanced health tracking capabilities. It continuously monitors heart rate, blood oxygen saturation levels, blood pressure, and sleep patterns. The smartwatch also offers female physiological reminders, helping users stay informed about their health cycles.

Connectivity and Sensors

Connectivity is handled by a Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy chip, ensuring stable and efficient pairing with smartphones. However, the device does not support WiFi, NFC, or GPS, and it lacks a gyroscope sensor.

Battery Life

Powered by a 290 mAh lithium polymer battery, the Alewa Moon is charged wirelessly through a dedicated dock. It takes around 1.5 hours to reach a full charge and delivers approximately 3 to 5 days of regular use or up to 15 days on standby.

The Alewa Moon is officially priced at NPR 4,999; however, it is currently available at a special launch price of NPR 3,499. The smartwatch can be purchased from various authorized mobile retail stores across Nepal.
