Amazfit GTR Mini Smartwatch Now Available in Nepal

Amazfit has recently introduced the GTR Mini smartwatch in the Nepalese market. Although it is a more affordable version of the premium GTR series, the GTR Mini still delivers impressive features that make it a strong contender in the smartwatch space.

Design and Display

The GTR Mini retains the circular design characteristic of the GTR line. It features a stainless steel frame and button, contributing to its premium feel, and is built to be water-resistant up to 5 ATM. The watch’s back panel is glazed and matches the color of its silicone strap. Weighing just 24.6 grams, it is notably lightweight and comfortable to wear. The display is a curved 1.28-inch AMOLED panel with a sharp 326 PPI density and an anti-fingerprint coating. It comes in three color options: Midnight Black, Misty Pink, and Ocean Blue.

Health and Fitness Tracking

The GTR Mini includes Amazfit’s first-gen BioTracker PPG optical sensor for health monitoring. While it does not feature the newer BioTracker 3.0 or 4.0 sensors found in models like the GTR 4 and GTS 4, it still supports 24/7 tracking of heart rate, blood oxygen levels (SpO2), and stress levels. Users can quickly measure these metrics with a single tap. The smartwatch also alerts users about abnormal heart rates, low oxygen levels, and high stress. Additional health features include breathing exercises, Physical Activity Intelligence (PAI) measurements, sleep tracking, and menstrual cycle monitoring. For fitness enthusiasts, the GTR Mini offers 126 sports modes and can automatically detect seven types of activities, such as treadmill running, outdoor cycling, and elliptical training.

Operating System and Connectivity

Running on Zepp OS 2.0, the GTR Mini comes preloaded with various health, fitness, and lifestyle apps. It supports Home Connect third-party apps and includes three games for entertainment. Users can customize the watch with over 100 watch faces, including 11 animated options. The smartwatch stays connected through Bluetooth 5.2 and pairs seamlessly with the Zepp app, available for both Android and iOS devices. It also features built-in GPS with support for five satellite positioning systems, enhanced by a patented circularly-polarized GPS antenna for improved outdoor location accuracy.

Battery and Additional Features

Powered by a 280 mAh battery, the GTR Mini can be fully charged in approximately two hours using a magnetic charger. Amazfit claims that typical usage can extend the battery life up to 14 days, while heavy usage can last around seven days, and continuous GPS use can manage about 25 hours.

Pricing and Availability

The official price of the Amazfit GTR Mini in Nepal is NPR 16,400. This makes it a more affordable option compared to its price in India, where it is listed at INR 10,999 (approximately NPR 17,600). The smartwatch is now available in Nepal through authorized mobile retailers.
