Amazfit T-Rex Ultra Arrives in Nepal

Amazfit has expanded its T-Rex series with the new T-Rex Ultra, the brand’s most advanced and durable smartwatch to date. Targeting outdoor and fitness enthusiasts, the device combines a rugged design with premium health and navigation features.

Design and Build

The T-Rex Ultra features a sturdy construction using 316L stainless steel for the main body, complemented by a polymer alloy middle frame. The watch includes mud-resistant bridges and buttons, four of which match the durability of the main body. Adjustable slugs ensure a comfortable fit despite the reinforced design. It carries a MIL-STD 810G certification, meaning it can endure extreme temperatures from -30°C to 70°C, along with 10ATM water resistance for up to 100 meters. The smartwatch weighs 89 grams with a strap and measures 13.45mm in thickness. It comes in two color options: Abyss Black and Sahara.

Display

Equipped with a bright 1.39-inch AMOLED circular display, the T-Rex Ultra offers a sharp resolution of 454 x 454 pixels and a dense 326PPI. The screen peaks at 1000 nits brightness, making it easy to read even in direct sunlight.

GPS and Navigation

Designed for adventurers, the T-Rex Ultra includes dual-band GPS using both L1 and L5 signals for accurate positioning, compatible with six global satellite systems. An Automatic GPS mode adjusts the positioning system based on signal strength. The watch also supports offline maps; users can import route files and store them alongside maps downloaded from the Zepp app. It allows saving location points and favorite routes, and offers a direct line back to the starting point for easy return navigation.

Sports and Fitness Tracking

The smartwatch supports over 160 sports modes, including extreme activities such as skydiving, free diving, Alpine skiing, and triathlons. Nine of these modes feature automatic detection. It is certified to EN13319 and ISO6245 standards, allowing free diving up to 30 meters with tracking of depth and water temperature. The device can also automatically detect 25 types of strength training exercises, monitoring reps, sets, and rest periods. The AI-driven Zepp Coach provides personalized training plans and guidance.

Health Monitoring

Health tracking includes continuous monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen levels (SpO2), and stress levels using the BioTracker 3.0 PPG sensor. Users can also manually measure these metrics with a single tap. Additional health features cover sleep tracking, PAI health assessment, and menstrual cycle monitoring.

Connectivity and Battery

The T-Rex Ultra connects via Bluetooth 5.0 BLE and WiFi 2.4GHz, pairing with the Zepp app on both Android and iOS devices. Powered by a 500mAh battery, it charges with a magnetic base and reaches full charge in about two hours. Typical usage yields up to 20 days of battery life, while activating Endurance GPS mode extends this to approximately 80 hours of use, even during GPS-intensive activities like hiking or climbing. The watch can display storm alerts, tide warnings, and high-altitude blood oxygen reminders. Although it lacks a microphone and speaker, it supports quick reply actions for incoming calls.
