Apple iPad Air 5 (2022) Now Available in Nepal With M1 Chip and Updated Features

Apple has officially launched the iPad Air 5 (2022) in Nepal, bringing a significant performance boost and updated features to the popular tablet line. This newest version incorporates the company's efficient M1 chip, which delivers up to 60% faster processing speeds compared to the previous model's A14 chip. The M1 chip also includes an 8-core GPU that provides twice the graphics performance of its predecessor.

The iPad Air 5 retains its sleek design but now comes in five color options: Space gray, Starlight, Pink, Purple, and Blue. It features a bright 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone, P3 color gamut, and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The display supports the second-generation Apple Pencil and the Magic Keyboard accessory.

For photography and video, the tablet includes a 12MP wide camera on the back with 4K video recording at 60 frames per second, while the front camera has been upgraded to a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a 122-degree field of view, supporting Center Stage for video calls. The front camera can also record 1080p video at 30 frames per second.

Connectivity options have been expanded to include both 5G and Wi-Fi-only models, with the 5G variant capable of speeds up to 3.5Gbps in optimal conditions. The tablet also supports Wi-Fi 6 for faster wireless performance and features a USB-C interface that offers data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, doubling the speed of the previous generation.

The iPad Air 5 is powered by a 28.6Whr battery that provides up to 10 hours of video playback, and it comes with a 20W USB-C charger included in the box. Audio is handled by a stereo speaker system supporting Dolby Digital, Digital Plus, and Atmos. Security features include Touch ID embedded in the power button.

In Nepal, the 64GB WiFi-only model of the iPad Air 5 (2022) is priced at NPR 99,000, while the 256GB WiFi-only version costs NPR 119,000. The tablet runs iPadOS 15 out of the box and is compatible with a range of Apple accessories, including the second-generation Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard.
