New 15-inch Apple MacBook Air with M2 Chip Launches in Nepal at Competitive Pricing

Apple has introduced a new addition to its MacBook Air family with the launch of the 15-inch model, which brings a significantly larger screen to the popular ultra-thin laptop category. The new MacBook Air 15 retains the powerful M2 chip found in the 13-inch version but expands the display to a generous 15.3 inches, offering 25 percent more screen area than the current 13-inch models.

The 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display delivers excellent visual quality with 500 nits of brightness, support for up to one billion colors, and a slim 5mm bezel design that maintains a sleek profile. Despite the larger screen, the laptop remains impressively thin at just 11.5mm and lightweight at 1.52kg, which Apple claims makes it the world’s thinnest 15-inch laptop available today. The device is offered in four color choices: Silver, Starlight, Space Gray, and Midnight.

One of the key improvements over the 13-inch MacBook Air is the larger 66.5 Wh battery, which should provide extended endurance for everyday tasks. The audio experience has also been enhanced with a six-speaker system that includes force-canceling woofers, bringing sound quality closer to that of the premium MacBook Pro models. While the laptop retains the same M2 chip as its smaller sibling, it offers configurations with up to 24GB of unified memory and up to 2TB of SSD storage.

Connectivity and port selection remain consistent with previous MacBook Air models, featuring two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, a MagSafe 3 charging port made from recycled cobalt, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The laptop includes a 1080p FaceTime camera, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and a backlit Magic Keyboard with a Force Touch trackpad.

In Nepal, the 15-inch MacBook Air with M2 is now available through official Apple channels. The base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at NPR 190,000, with higher configurations available for additional cost. This positions the new 15-inch model as a compelling option for professionals and students who require more screen real estate without sacrificing portability or performance.
