Apple MacBook Air 2020 to Debut in Nepal at Record-Low Price

The Apple MacBook Air 2020 is set for its Nepal launch, offering an affordable entry point into the Apple ecosystem for students and first-time users. This latest iteration brings notable upgrades over previous models, including a jump from dual-core to quad-core processors and a Magic Keyboard for improved typing comfort.

The MacBook Air 2020 is powered by up to the 10th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, with speeds reaching 3.8GHz via Turbo Boost, promising twice the performance of earlier versions. Graphics have also seen an upgrade, with Intel Iris Plus Graphics delivering up to 80% better performance. Storage options start at 256GB SSD and go up to 2TB, doubling the capacity of previous base and maximum configurations.

Design-wise, the laptop retains its popular unibody aluminum construction in three color options: Gold, Silver, and Space Grey. It features the same 13-inch Retina display as before, now paired with the Magic Keyboard, which offers a 1mm key travel. Security is enhanced with the T2 chip, ensuring only approved software loads at startup and encrypting stored data.

Other features include a triple-mic setup, Force Touch trackpad, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, support for 6K external displays, and stereo speakers. The device runs macOS Catalina out of the box.

Internationally, the base model starts at $999. In Nepal, authorized sellers such as Oliz Store, Evo Store, and Future World will carry the laptop. The expected starting price is around NPR 155,000, with configurations ranging up to approximately NPR 216,000 for the top-end model.
