Apple Watch SE (2022) Now Available at Reduced Prices in Nepal

Apple has adjusted the pricing for its second-generation Apple Watch SE, offering the device at more attractive rates in the Nepali market. Launched during the company's "Far Out" event in 2023, the Apple Watch SE remains Apple's most budget-friendly smartwatch option.

The 2022 Apple Watch SE keeps its familiar square design with a digital crown and side button, available in 40mm and 44mm sizes with aluminum cases made from 100 percent recycled material. The device is slightly lighter than its predecessor, weighing 26.4 grams for the 40mm model and 32.9 grams for the 44mm model. It comes in Midnight, Starlight, or Silver colors and features a Retina LTPO OLED display with up to 1,000 nits brightness, though it lacks always-on display functionality. The screen is protected by Ion-X glass and the watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters but not dust-resistant.

A key upgrade in this model is the performance boost provided by the Apple S8 chip, which promises 20 percent faster processing compared to the S7 chip found in the Apple Watch Series 7. The cellular version now supports international data roaming across 30 carriers, primarily in the US, UK, and China. The watch runs watchOS 9, introducing features such as Low Power Mode, AFib history tracking, an updated Compass app, improved sleep tracking with sleep stage analysis, and car crash detection enabled by advanced sensors.

Health and fitness tracking remains robust, with heart rate monitoring, menstrual cycle tracking, and multiple workout modes, though it does not include blood oxygen or ECG measurements found in higher-end models. Buyers also receive a three-month subscription to Apple Fitness+ with purchase. Battery life stays consistent at up to 18 hours on a single charge, though fast charging is not supported, requiring around two and a half hours for a full charge. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4GHz WiFi.

The official price for the Apple Watch SE (2022) in Nepal is now NPR 42,999 for the 40mm GPS model and NPR 47,499 for the 44mm GPS model, both including an aluminum case and Sport Band. The device is available through authorized Apple retailers across the country.
