BenQ has announced the LU895UST, a new ultra-short-throw laser projector now available in Europe and the United States. This model is designed for users who need large screen sizes but have limited installation space, combining powerful performance with a compact form factor.
The LU895UST features a WUXGA resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels and a throw ratio of just 0.253:1, allowing it to project images up to roughly 200 inches from a few centimeters away from the wall. With 5,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, the projector can perform well in well-lit rooms, making it suitable for simulation, education, or exhibition environments. It covers 93 percent of the Rec.709 color space and includes multiple picture modes such as Simulation, HDR10, and sRGB. The projector also boasts an impressive contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 FOFO.
Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0b ports with HDCP 2.2 support, an RJ45 port for network control, and a USB-A port. An integrated 10W speaker eliminates the need for an external audio device for basic use. The projector is blending-ready, supporting multi-projector setups with 2D keystone correction and alignment tools for seamless image stitching.
In Europe, the BenQ LU895UST is priced at Euro 3,999, while in the United States it costs USD 4,799. Although no official release date has been confirmed for Nepal, the expected price if it arrives would be above NPR 700,000.
