CG and AI+ Team Up for AI-Powered Phones in Nepal

CG, Nepal’s largest conglomerate, has officially confirmed a partnership with AI+, a subsidiary of Nxtquantum Shift Technologies India, to launch AI-enhanced smartphones in the country. This move aims to strengthen CG’s presence in the local smartphone market, currently dominated by brands like Nothing.

The Brands Involved

CG needs little introduction as the top business group in Nepal. AI+, however, is the more intriguing partner here. Operating under Nxtquantum Shift Technologies India, AI+ promotes its NxtQuantum OS, which emphasizes privacy and minimal pre-installed apps.

AI+ Devices Available

So far, AI+ has released two models: the Nova 5G and the Pulse. Both feature 6.7-inch HD+ displays, Unisoc processors, 50MP main cameras, and robust 5000mAh batteries. The Pulse offers a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Nova 5G upgrades to a 120Hz display. The main attraction is the NxtQuantum OS, claimed to reduce bloatware and enhance privacy, though real-world performance remains to be tested.

What This Means for Nepali Buyers

Adding more options in the budget category benefits consumers. If AI+ delivers on its privacy-focused promises, it may encourage other brands to adopt cleaner software practices. CG has not yet disclosed exact launch dates, but both models should arrive soon, with pricing set to compete against established budget brands.
