Colors Mobile Launches Pride P85 With Fingerprint Scanner

Colors Mobile, a Nepali smartphone brand, has announced the Pride P85, a budget-friendly smartphone equipped with a fingerprint scanner, priced at Rs. 11,495. This model is currently the most affordable phone in Nepal to include such a security feature. An update notes that the device is now available for Rs. 9,995.

Key Specifications and Features

The Pride P85 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display and runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor based on the Cortex A7 architecture. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 32GB. The device is powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow and includes a substantial 2500mAh removable Li-Po battery.

On the photography front, the phone features an 8MP rear camera with a triple LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. The fingerprint scanner, situated on the home button, can unlock the phone in just half a second and supports several convenient functions, including quick app launching, quick dialing even when the screen is off or locked, app locking for privacy protection, and message encryption.

Connectivity options are robust, with support for dual SIM cards (3G + 2G), WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth, and GPS. The Pride P85 is offered in two stylish color variants: Golden Black and Golden White.
