Coolpad Cool S With Helio P60 and 5000mAh Battery Debuts in Nepal

Coolpad has re-entered the Nepalese market with the launch of the Cool S, a new addition to its smartphone lineup. Following the successful release of models like the Cool 6, N7 Plus, and Cool X in recent years, the Cool S brings notable features tailored for everyday users.

The Cool S sports a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a circular notch for the selfie camera. It features a dual-glass construction, which is a standout feature at its price point. The design draws attention for its resemblance to the Huawei P40, particularly in the rectangular camera module and overall layout.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While suitable for routine tasks, the older chipset may limit performance in demanding games. The camera setup includes a 48MP primary sensor using the Samsung GM1, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro camera, and a 0.3MP depth sensor, alongside a 25MP Sony IMX576 selfie camera.

A standout feature is the large 5000mAh battery, though the device does not support fast charging technologies. It supports both fingerprint scanning, positioned unusually on the left edge, and face unlock, running on Android 10 out of the box. The phone is offered in Night Black, Lapis Blue, and Moon White, with the first two colors currently available in Nepal.

The Cool S is priced at NPR 18,995 for the sole 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and can be purchased from authorized retail outlets across the country.
