DJI Unveils Inspire 3, an Advanced 8K Cinema Drone Now Available for Pre-Order in Nepal

DJI, a leader in aerial platforms, has announced the Inspire 3, the latest addition to its acclaimed cinema drone series. First introduced in 2014, the Inspire line has set standards for professional aerial filming, and the Inspire 3 promises to raise the bar even higher. The drone is now available for pre-order in Nepal, offering filmmakers powerful new tools for creative expression.

The Inspire 3 builds on the legacy of its predecessors with significant design and performance enhancements. While retaining the iconic spider-like frame, DJI has optimized aerodynamics, reducing drag by 20 percent and extending flight time to 28 minutes, up from 25 minutes on the Inspire 2. Despite a weight increase to 3,995 grams (up 550 grams), the drone's payload capacity grows to 4,310 grams, accommodating heavier gear.

A standout feature is the new Zenmuse X9-8K Air camera, DJI's lightest full-frame sensor to date. This 35mm camera supports up to 8K resolution in multiple formats, including ProRes RAW and CinemaDNG, though license keys are required for the latter two formats. The camera offers over 14 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO for low-light performance, along with an expandable lens system that now includes an 18mm F2.8 prime and a dedicated 8K telephoto lens.

For flight control and creative shooting, the Inspire 3 includes Waypoint Pro, which uses real-time kinematic (RTK) positioning for centimeter-accurate routes, available in both repeatable and manual modes. Spotlight Pro has been updated for automatic subject tracking, and obstacle sensing can be customized for horizontal, upward, and downward detection.

The drone pairs with the RC Plus controller, featuring a 7-inch, 1200-nits display and support for up to 6 hours of operation with an external battery. Video transmission utilizes DJI O3 Pro technology, streaming 1080p at 60 frames per second across distances up to 15 kilometers.

In Nepal, the DJI Inspire 3 is priced at NPR 22 lakhs. The package includes the drone, the Zenmuse X9-8K Air gimbal camera, the RC Plus remote controller, six TB51 intelligent batteries, a charging hub, and additional accessories. It is available through authorized DJI retailers in the country.
