DJI Mini 3 Drone Arrives in Nepal With Updated Features

DJI has officially brought the Mini 3 drone to Nepal, marking the arrival of a compact, beginner-friendly option for aerial photography and videography. The Mini 3, released globally a few months ago, is positioned as a more affordable and portable successor to the Mini 3 Pro, making it well-suited for new users in city and suburban settings.

The Mini 3 retains the same compact dimensions as its predecessor, measuring 251 by 362 by 72 millimeters with propellers attached and weighing just 248 grams. This small form factor easily fits into a backpack or pocket, allowing users to take it anywhere. Despite its size, the drone can handle wind speeds up to 10.7 meters per second, ensuring steady footage even in less-than-ideal weather.

Camera capabilities mirror those of the Mini 3 Pro, utilizing a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with an f/1.7 aperture. The drone records HDR video at 4K resolution at 30 frames per second and can capture still images at up to 48 megapixels thanks to DJI’s 4-in-1 pixel technology. It also includes digital zoom options, offering 2x zoom in 4K mode and 4x zoom in 1080p mode. For creative shooting, the Mini 3 features automated Quickshots modes that enable one-touch recording of popular shots such as Dronie, Circle, Helix, Rocket, and Boomerang. Additionally, the drone supports true vertical shooting, rotating the camera 90 degrees to better fit social media platforms.

Safety and stability are enhanced through several automated features. The Return to Home function triggers when signal loss or low battery is detected, bringing the drone back to its launch point. Precise hovering combines GNSS, downward vision, and infrared sensing systems for stable flight. Video transmission is handled by DJI’s O2 system, which delivers a 720p live feed at 30 frames per second from distances of up to 10 kilometers.

Battery life varies depending on the chosen pack: the standard Intelligent Flight Battery provides up to 38 minutes of flight, while the larger Intelligent Flight Battery Plus extends this to 51 minutes. Like the Mini 3 Pro, the drone works with both RC and RC-N1 controllers.

In Nepal, the DJI Mini 3 is available in the Fly More Combo with an RC 2 controller for NPR 120,000. It can be purchased from authorized DJI retailers across the country.
