DJI has introduced the Osmo Mobile 6, the latest addition to its lineup of smartphone gimbals, and it is now available in Nepal. Building on the popular OM series, this model brings several refinements aimed at content creators and mobile filmmakers.

Design and Usability

The Osmo Mobile 6 retains the compact, foldable design of its predecessor, the OM 5, but with a slightly smaller footprint that can still accommodate larger smartphones. A new side wheel provides direct control over zoom or focus, while a built-in status panel shows the current operating mode and battery level. For iPhone users, a Quick Launch feature automatically opens the DJI Mimo app’s camera view once the gimbal is attached, cutting setup time significantly.

Enhanced Tracking

One of the standout improvements is ActiveTrack 5.0, which delivers more stable tracking over longer distances and supports front-camera tracking of subjects that turn or spin. Users can switch between four modes—Follow, Tilt Lock, FPV, and SpinShot—by pressing the M button on the device.

Additional Features

The Osmo Mobile 6 also includes one-tap editing, gesture controls, timelapse recording, and panorama modes. The DJI Mimo app now features a ShotGuide function that suggests creative shot ideas based on the shooting environment.
