Google Offers First Look at Upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold Ahead of Launch

Google has provided its first official glimpse of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold just days before the "Made by Google" launch event next week. The upcoming foldable smartphone appears to carry over the design language of its predecessor, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, but hints suggest meaningful improvements under the hood.

A brief teaser video released by Google offers shadowy previews of the device, eventually showcasing the main display and rear design. Reliable tech leaker Evan Blass has also shared an official render, revealing the phone in its "Moonstone Gray" finish, with rumors pointing to additional green and gold color variants.

While the exterior design seems familiar, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is speculated to bring notable performance enhancements. It is expected to utilize the Tensor G5 processor, marking the first time a Tensor chip will be manufactured by TSMC rather than Samsung in a Pixel device. The phone may also introduce an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, a significant step up from previous IP48-rated foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Leads suggest the cover display could grow from 6.3 to 6.4 inches, while the main inner display is likely to remain at 8 inches. Additional possible upgrades include a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, a larger 5,015 mAh battery, support for Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, and Android 16 out of the box.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will officially debut on August 20 at 1 PM Eastern Time (10:45 PM Nepal Time), alongside the broader Pixel 10 series, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a. Given that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold launched at USD 1,799, the new model is anticipated to carry a similar price tag.
