The Honor 500 Pro has officially launched in China as an upgraded version of the Honor 500 series. This Pro model brings several high-end improvements over the standard variant, including a top-tier processor, a more advanced camera arrangement, and a durable design with enhanced protection.

The Honor 500 Pro features a 6.55-inch flat LTPO OLED display, offering a sharp 2736 x 1264 resolution, a smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and an incredible 6000 nits peak brightness. The design carries over the familiar style of its predecessor but introduces a redesigned rear camera module and a slightly heavier build due to the large battery and reinforced construction. The phone also adds IP69K water resistance to its existing IP68 rating and incorporates a secure 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, upgrading from the optical sensor found in the base model.

Under the hood, the Honor 500 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset built on a 3nm process, paired with the Adreno 830 GPU. This processor ensures smooth performance for demanding tasks. Memory configurations include 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging up to a substantial 1TB, which exceeds both the base Honor 500 and the previous Honor 400 models. The device runs MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16.

Camera capabilities are a highlight of the Honor 500 Pro. The rear setup includes a 200MP main camera with a large HP3 1/1.4-inch sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom (with 100x digital zoom) and optical image stabilization. The main and ultrawide cameras feature improved stabilization compared to the Honor 400 series, and the Pro model adds a telephoto camera, which is not present in the regular variant. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera with a 3D depth sensor supports 4K video recording.

Battery life is impressive, with an 8000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 27W reverse wired charging. Additional connectivity features include 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, infrared, USB-C audio, and multi-band GNSS.

In China, pricing for the Honor 500 Pro begins at CNY 3,599. In Nepal, the base 12GB + 256GB variant is expected to launch at approximately NPR 88,999, with higher configurations reaching up to NPR 106,999.
