Honor 500 Pro Rumored to Feature 8000mAh Battery and 200MP Camera

The Honor 500 Pro is anticipated to be the next major update to Honor's popular Pro series, following the well-received Honor 400 Pro and Honor 200 Pro. Though the device has not yet been officially announced, recent leaks have provided a comprehensive look at its expected features and specifications.

In terms of design, the Honor 500 Pro is expected to retain a familiar appearance with a glass back and a horizontal camera module. The phone will likely offer four color options: Aquamarine, Starlight Powder, Obsidian Black, and Moonlight Silver. The display is rumored to be a 6.55-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2736 × 1264 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the Honor 500 Pro is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, delivering strong performance for gaming, video editing, and other demanding tasks. It will run MagicOS 10, based on Android 16, and will offer several storage configurations, including 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.

The camera setup is where the Honor 500 Pro aims to shine, with a rumored 200MP Samsung HP3 sensor as the primary camera. This will be supported by a 50MP Sony IMX858 periscope lens and a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a 117-degree field of view. While the front camera details are still unconfirmed, earlier reports suggest a 50MP sensor.

One of the most notable features of the Honor 500 Pro is its expected 8000mAh silicon battery, which should provide impressive battery life. The phone will support 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging for quick power top-ups.

Additional features may include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, Honor's C1+ RF enhancement chip, and an E2 power-efficiency chip designed to optimize power consumption.

Although the official pricing has not been announced, the Honor 500 Pro is expected to start at no less than NPR 90,000 when it launches in Nepal.
