Honor MagicPad 3 Arrives in Nepal Soon to Challenge Xiaomi Pad 7

Honor has officially launched the MagicPad 3 globally, and the device is also headed to Nepal very soon. Upon arrival, it will directly compete with the Xiaomi Pad 7, despite the recent release of the Xiaomi Pad 8. Even though the Pad 7 is its closest rival, the MagicPad 3 holds an edge in most specifications.

The MagicPad 3 sports a 13.3-inch LCD panel with a sharp 3200 x 2136 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The display boasts a smooth 165Hz refresh rate, surpassing the Xiaomi Pad 7’s 144Hz rate, and supports HDR with a peak brightness of 1000 nits in high-brightness mode and a standard 700 nits. The tablet features a sleek unibody aluminum alloy build, weighs just 595 grams, and measures a slim 5.79 mm thick. It will be offered in White and Gray color options.

Under the hood, the MagicPad 3 is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4nm process. This processor, which was a top-tier chip just two years ago, powers devices such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra and OnePlus 12. It outperforms the mid-range Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 in the Xiaomi Pad 7 and even the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 found in the Xiaomi Pad 8. The tablet comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, making it well-suited for demanding games like PUBG and Genshin Impact, as well as heavy tasks such as video editing. It runs MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15 and includes a suite of AI features such as AI writing, voiceprint noise cancellation, speech-to-text, meeting transcription, and image enhancement. The device also supports PC-level file management and seamless cross-device connectivity.

Camera setup is basic, with a 13MP main camera and a 2MP macro lens on the back, plus a 9MP front camera. The standout feature is its enormous 12,450 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which should easily last two to three days on a single charge. The tablet supports fast 66W wired charging.

For audio, the MagicPad 3 features eight speakers with Honor Spatial Audio, doubling the speaker count on the Xiaomi Pad 7. It also includes WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity. The tablet incorporates seven eye-comfort technologies, such as dynamic dimming, hardware low blue light, nature tone display, motion sickness relief, and AI circadian night display. Honor will also provide a Smart Touch Keyboard and a Magic-Pencil 3 stylus.

Key specifications include a 293.88 x 201.38 x 5.79 mm body, 595 g weight, 12,450 mAh battery with 66W charging, and no biometric security or cellular connectivity options.
