Honor Unveils Power 2 with Massive 10,080mAh Battery and Dimensity 8500 Elite

Honor has just revealed the Power 2, marking its first smartphone release for 2026. Positioned as a successor to the original Honor Power from April 2024, this mid-range device highlights Honor's commitment to long-lasting smartphones with an unprecedented 10,080mAh battery, the largest the brand has ever fitted in any phone.

The Power 2 sports a 6.79-inch flat LTPS OLED panel with a sharp 1.5K resolution of 2640 by 1200 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Remarkably, Honor claims the display can reach an astonishing 8,000 nits of brightness for HDR content, potentially one of the brightest seen in any mobile device. Measuring 7.98mm thin and weighing 216g, the phone wears a metal frame and arrives in three color choices: Midnight Black, Snow White, and Sunrise Orange. Internal codename “Saber” hints at its design inspiration, which closely mirrors the iPhone 17 Pro series.

Under the hood, the Power 2 is powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, reported to surpass the Dimensity 8400 in performance. The processor includes a prime core clocked at 3.40GHz, three cores at 3.20GHz, and four energy-efficient cores at 2.20GHz. Memory configurations offer 12GB of RAM combined with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, alongside an additional 12GB of virtual RAM. The device runs on Android 16 with Honor’s MagicOS 10 interface, aligning it with the Honor Win series.

Camera capabilities remain modest, focusing instead on performance and battery life. The rear setup includes a 50MP primary sensor paired with a 5MP ultra-wide lens, while a 16MP camera handles self-portraits.

The standout feature, however, is the colossal 10,080mAh battery, now the largest ever integrated into an Honor smartphone. The company states this capacity enables up to 20.3 hours of continuous screen-on use, 22 hours of short-video playback, or 14.2 hours of gaming on a single charge. Charging is handled by an 80W fast charging solution, although wireless charging support is notably absent.

In China, the Honor Power 2 starts at CNY 2,699 for the base 12GB/256GB model, with the higher 12GB/512GB variant priced at CNY 2,999. Should the device reach Nepal, expectations suggest a starting price of around NPR 90,000, making it a compelling option for users seeking extended battery life without breaking the bank.
