Honor Unveils Watch X5 with Advanced Fitness Tracking and AMOLED Display

Honor has officially introduced the Watch X5 in China, bringing a blend of stylish design and robust fitness tracking capabilities to the market. The smartwatch features a 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a slim 1.8 mm bezel, offering an 82% screen-to-body ratio, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and always-on display support, protected by 2.5D glass. Constructed from aluminum alloy, the device weighs just 29 grams and measures 9.99 mm in thickness, with a stainless-steel rotating crown and interchangeable silicone straps.

The Watch X5 emphasizes outdoor activities with an upgraded barometer, compass, and an independent GPS module compatible with BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS satellite systems. This enables accurate route tracking and real-time environmental monitoring during hikes or other outdoor excursions. The watch is rated for water resistance at 5 ATM and IP68, making it suitable for use in rain, dust, and even swimming conditions.

For health and fitness, the Watch X5 provides standard monitoring features such as 24/7 heart-rate and blood oxygen tracking, sleep analysis, women’s health monitoring, and one-touch health checks. A notable addition is an AI-based weight-loss program developed in collaboration with universities, which offers personalized feedback and progress tracking rather than generic advice. The device supports over 120 different sports modes.

Smart functionalities include two-way Bluetooth calling, NFC for offline payments, remote control of cameras and music, SOS emergency calling, and even mini-games. Battery performance is exceptional, delivering up to 14 days of usage on a single charge under typical conditions, or approximately 5 days with the always-on display feature activated.

Currently available in China for CNY 449, the global launch of the Watch X5 will coincide with the Honor 500 series event scheduled for November 24, 2025. While specific timelines for international availability remain unconfirmed, the device is expected to arrive in Nepal eventually, with projections suggesting a starting price of around NPR 11,999.
