Honor Unveils Win RT: A Robust Gaming Phone with a Massive Battery and High-Speed Display

Honor has launched the Win RT in China as a more budget-friendly alternative to its flagship Win model, while still offering impressive gaming capabilities. The Win RT shares several key features with the flagship, including its enormous 10,000mAh battery and a rapid 185Hz OLED display, but adopts the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and omits wireless charging and the telephoto camera to maintain a lower price point.

The Honor Win RT sports a 6.83-inch OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution (1272 × 2800 pixels), a smooth 185Hz refresh rate, and exceptional brightness levels, peaking at 6,000 nits. It also supports HDR10+ and employs a 5,920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming scheme to minimize eye strain. Measuring 8.3 mm thin and weighing 225g, the device is slightly lighter than its flagship counterpart. It is available in Black, Blue, and White, and carries robust IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Security features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and the phone supports dual SIM cards.

Under the hood, the Win RT is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with the Adreno 830 GPU, offering substantial gaming performance. Users can choose from configurations featuring up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, running on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. An active cooling fan integrated into the rear camera module spins at up to 25,000 RPM to maintain optimal temperatures during intensive tasks. Additionally, Honor has incorporated its proprietary C1+ RF chip to enhance signal stability.

On the photography front, the Win RT comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary sensor (1/1.56-inch) with optical image stabilization and a 12MP ultra-wide macro lens. Notably, it does not include a telephoto camera found in the flagship model. The main camera can capture 4K video at 60 frames per second with stereo audio and Bluetooth microphone support. For selfies, the device features a 50MP front camera.

The phone houses the same massive 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery as the flagship Win, supporting 100W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS with high-precision multi-band GNSS, stereo speakers, dual microphones, and Honor's AI surround subwoofer.

The Honor Win RT officially went on sale in China on Friday. Should it make its way to Nepal, expectations are for the base 12GB + 256GB variant to start at around NPR 70,000, with higher configurations priced accordingly.
