Honor X5 Budget Smartphone Debuts in Nepal With Big Battery and Affordable Price

Honor has introduced the X5 to its X-series lineup in Nepal, targeting budget-conscious users with a device that balances essential features and longevity through a sizable battery. The smartphone, which arrived globally a few months earlier, now brings its modest specifications and attractive pricing to the local market.

The Honor X5 sports a plastic body with a leather-textured back that enhances grip and reduces smudging. It weighs 192 grams and measures 8.92 mm in thickness, offering a comfortable form factor. The device is offered in three color options: Sunrise Orange, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black, with the last two colors currently exclusive to Nepal. On the front, it features a 6.5-inch TFT LCD screen with HD+ resolution, using a water-drop notch design typical of budget phones.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, an octa-core processor built on 12nm process technology, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via an SD card. It runs on Android 12 Go Edition, optimized for entry-level devices. Graphics are handled by the IMG GE8320 GPU.

For photography, the Honor X5 includes a single 8MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash, capable of recording videos up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. The front camera is a 5MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, also supporting full HD video recording. A robust 5000mAh battery ensures extended usage, while connectivity options include single-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. Security is managed through face unlock, as the device lacks a fingerprint sensor.

The Honor X5 is officially priced at NPR 11,990 for the sole 2GB RAM and 32GB storage configuration and can be purchased from authorized Honor retail outlets across Nepal.
