Honor has recently unveiled the X6b in Nepal, a new budget smartphone designed as a successor to last year’s X6a model. The device builds on its predecessor with notable upgrades while keeping a familiar design language. Available in four color options Forest Green, Starry Purple, Ocean Cyan, and Midnight Black, the Honor X6b maintains a monotone look with flat edges and a squircle camera island.

The display remains consistent with the X6a, featuring a 6.56-inch TFT LCD panel with an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, offering decent smoothness for everyday use. It also includes DC dimming to reduce eye strain in low-light conditions and holds a 5-star drop-resistance certification for added durability.

Under the hood, the Honor X6b is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, an improvement over the Helio G36 used in the previous generation. Although the G85 is an older chip, it delivers significantly better performance, more than doubling benchmark scores despite a lower peak clock speed. The phone now offers a 6GB RAM with 128GB storage configuration, doubling the storage capacity from its predecessor, and runs on Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0.

On the camera front, the X6b adopts a dual-camera setup, removing the largely unused macro lens from the X6a. The rear camera includes a 50MP primary sensor paired with a 2MP depth sensor, while the front features a 5MP camera in a waterdrop display cutout.

The device is equipped with a sizable 5200mAh battery supporting 35W fast charging, ensuring long-lasting endurance for daily use. Connectivity options include dual SIM support with 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth v5.1, and USB Type-C, with a 3.5mm headphone jack retained for wired audio. Certain models also support NFC for contactless payments.

The Honor X6b is now available in Nepal for NPR 16,999 for the lone 6GB + 128GB variant, and can be purchased from authorized retail outlets across the country.
