  • 14-inch and 16-inch models start at NPR 81,000 and NPR 115,000 respectively
  • Choices include Intel Core i5/i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 processors
  • Upgradable displays up to 14-inch 2.8K OLED and 16-inch 2.5K 120Hz options

Hewlett-Packard has expanded its Pavilion laptop range in Nepal with the launch of the Pavilion Plus 14 and Pavilion Plus 16 models for 2023. These systems combine lightweight aluminum builds with sharp displays and strong performance, targeting users who need portability without sacrificing capability.

The Pavilion Plus 14 features a compact 14-inch screen, available as a base 1920x1200 IPS panel with 250 nits brightness or, for those willing to pay extra, a certified IMAX 2.8K OLED panel that boosts peak brightness to 400 nits. Over on the Pavilion Plus 16, a larger 16-inch 2.5K (2560x1600) panel runs at a smooth 120Hz. Both sizes share a modest 51 Wh battery and a 90 W USB-C power adapter.

Where things get interesting is under the hood. The 14-inch model offers genuine flexibility: buyers may choose either an Intel processor up to the Core i7-1255U or an AMD processor up to the Ryzen 7 7840H. With Intel, graphics can be either integrated Iris Xe or a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 LT (4GB). With AMD, options include the Radeon 740M, 760M, or 780M. RAM tops out at 16 GB LPDDR5x-5200 for Intel configurations but jumps to 32 GB LPDDR5x-6400 for AMD setups. Storage peaks at 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe across all variants.

The 16-inch cousin is more limited, restricting processor choice to either an Intel Core i5-13500H or i7-13700H. Graphics follow suit with either integrated Iris Xe or a discrete GeForce RTX 3050, while RAM remains capped at 16 GB LPDDR5x-5200. Like the smaller model, it also supports up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen4 storage.

Both laptops include useful extras: a 5MP IR camera with a privacy shutter, dual B&O-enhanced speakers with HP Audio Boost, and a backlit keyboard with multitouch gesture support. Connectivity varies by CPU family Intel brings Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and Bluetooth 5.3, while AMD models use a MediaTek Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6 MT7921 chip for similar capabilities. Security features include a fingerprint reader and firmware TPM support.

In terms of ports, the 14-inch model sports two USB Type-C, two USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and a combined headphone/microphone jack. The 16-inch version mirrors this layout but adds Thunderbolt support on one of its USB Type-C ports.

Official pricing in Nepal positions the Pavilion Plus 14 entry-level Ryzen configuration at NPR 81,000 for a 16/512GB setup. Intel-powered versions start at NPR 95,000 for an i5-1340P, rising to NPR 97,000 for an i5-13500H. The larger Pavilion Plus 16 with an i7-13700H configuration is priced at NPR 115,000. All models ship with either Windows 11 Home or Pro.

These new Pavilion Plus laptops are now available through authorized HP retailers and laptop stores across Nepal.
