Huawei GR5 2017 Premium Edition With 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage Set for Launch in Nepal

Huawei is gearing up to introduce the GR5 2017 Premium Edition in the Nepalese market, alongside the Huawei P10Plus, with both devices anticipated to arrive before the end of June. This premium variant of the GR5 2017 boosts its specifications with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, addressing a key limitation of the original model that featured just 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The GR5 2017 Premium Edition is expected to carry a price tag of approximately NPR 32,000, slightly above the standard GR5 2017’s initial NPR 29,999 launch price. Despite this, the upgraded storage and memory should provide a noticeable improvement in performance and usability, especially for users who rely heavily on apps, photos, and videos.

Key specifications include a 2.1 GHz Octa-Core Kirin 655 processor, a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display, a 12MP primary camera paired with a 2MP secondary camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box but is eligible for the Nougat update already rolling out for the standard GR5 2017. Additional features include a 3340mAh battery, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE connectivity, and expandable storage support up to 256GB.

While the official pricing remains unconfirmed, the GR5 2017 Premium Edition is poised to offer stronger competition in the sub-35,000 NPR segment, where rivals often boast similar or higher memory configurations.
