Huawei Unveils Mate 80 with Advanced Features and Long-Lasting Battery

Huawei has announced the launch of the Mate 80 Series in China, with the standard Mate 80 model highlighting a range of premium features and robust performance. The device carries the company's signature design elements, including a circular camera module with XMAGE branding and a durable aluminum frame. A standout feature is its 6.75-inch LTPO OLED display, offering a smooth 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate range, 1440Hz PWM dimming, and an extraordinary peak brightness of 8000 nits, protected by second-generation Kunlun glass.

On the photography front, the Mate 80 features a triple-camera setup. This includes a 50MP main camera with variable aperture and OIS, a 40MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto camera supporting 5.5x optical zoom. Powering the device is the Kirin 9020 processor, paired with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB, running on Huawei's HarmonyOS 6.0.

The phone is supported by a substantial 5750mAh battery, enabling fast 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. Connectivity options are comprehensive, including WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, USB Type-C 3.1, and satellite calling and messaging, though the latter is limited to China. The device also incorporates advanced security features such as face recognition and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

If the Huawei Mate 80 becomes available in Nepal, the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is anticipated to start at NPR 110,999, with higher configurations priced accordingly. This launch positions the Mate 80 as a strong competitor in the premium smartphone segment.
