Huawei Unveils MatePad 12 X 2025 with PaperMatte Display

Huawei has announced the MatePad 12 X 2025, continuing its tradition of innovative tablet designs despite ongoing challenges. This latest model focuses on comfort and readability with its unique PaperMatte display technology. The 12-inch LCD screen boasts a sharp 2800 × 1840 resolution, a smooth 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The special PaperMatte coating reduces glare and mimics paper texture, making it easier on the eyes during prolonged use, even in bright outdoor conditions. Compatible with the Huawei M-Pencil Pro, the tablet aims to enhance note-taking and drawing experiences.

Under the hood, the MatePad 12 X 2025 is equipped with the Kirin T92B processor. While this chip may not match the raw performance of some competitors, Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.3 optimizes app performance effectively, ensuring smooth operation. The device offers 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, along with a 3D vapor chamber to manage heat during intensive tasks.

For multimedia, the tablet includes a 50 MP rear camera with an LED flash and an 8 MP front camera suitable for video calls. Audio is handled by six speakers and dual microphones, delivering rich and clear sound. A substantial 10,100 mAh battery supports long usage periods, and 66W fast charging allows for quick power replenishment.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring fast and stable wireless connections. Measuring just 5.9mm in thickness and weighing 555 grams, the MatePad 12 X 2025 is slim and portable, available in Green and White color options.

In terms of pricing, the MatePad 12 X 2025 has been launched in the UK for GBP 599. While official availability in Nepal has not been confirmed, industry sources suggest an expected launch price of around NPR 60,000, positioning it as a competitive option in the premium tablet segment.
