Huawei Introduces MateView and MateView GT Monitors

Huawei has expanded its monitor lineup with two new models tailored for different user needs. The Huawei MateView targets content creators with a sharp, bright display, while the MateView GT caters to gamers with a high-refresh-rate curved screen.

Huawei MateView GT

As Huawei's first dedicated gaming monitor, the MateView GT boasts a 34-inch LCD panel with a noticeable 1500R curvature. It carries a resolution of 3,400 by 1,440 pixels, offering a wide 21:9 aspect ratio ideal for immersive gameplay. The display supports up to 165Hz refresh rates, ensuring smooth motion for competitive gaming. With a peak brightness of 350 nits and 1.07 billion color support, it also covers 90% of the DCI-P3 color space and complies with HDR10 standards for enhanced contrast.

To improve visibility in dark scenes, the monitor includes a Dark Field Control feature that adjusts brightness levels selectively. An on-screen Crosshair function provides a digital targeting overlay for precision aiming. Audio components include a built-in soundbar with two 2.25W speakers and two microphones capable of picking up voice commands from up to 4 meters away. Connectivity is robust, featuring two USB-C ports (one with display input), two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A standout element is the RGB-backlit touch panel, allowing users to control volume through a sliding gesture and personalize lighting effects.

For professional creators, the standard Huawei MateView offers a 28.2-inch LCD panel with a dense 3,840 by 2,560 pixel resolution and a tall 3:2 aspect ratio. It peaks at 500 nits brightness, making it noticeably brighter than its gaming counterpart, and supports 10-bit color depth for 1.07 billion colors. The panel covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and meets DisplayHDR 400 standards, along with DC Dimming for smoother tone transitions.

Connectivity options are comprehensive, including a USB-C port that handles video input and charges devices at 65W, another USB-C port for power supply (up to 135W), two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.0, mini-DisplayPort 1.2, and a headphone jack. The wireless version adds dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1, enabling users to mirror compatible Huawei smartphones directly to the screen. Audio consists of two 5W speakers and two microphones with a 4-meter pickup range.
