Huawei Unveils Nova 15 Smartphone in China with Advanced Features

Huawei has launched the Nova 15 smartphone in China, bringing a host of advanced features and improvements over its predecessors. The device boasts a sleek design with a circular camera module housed in an oval frame and offers an IP65 rating for dust and water splash resistance.

The Nova 15 features a spacious 6.7-inch flat OLED display with FHD+ resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a responsive 300Hz touch sampling rate, and adaptive 2160Hz PWM dimming. It supports the wide P3 color gamut and is protected by aluminum silicate glass, holding an SGS five-star certification for enhanced durability against drops and impacts.

Powering the device is Huawei’s proprietary Kirin 8020 5G chipset, which delivers a notable 62% overall performance increase, along with significant boosts in multi-core CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities compared to the previous generation. The phone runs on HarmonyOS 6.0, offering advanced AI features such as air gestures, air transfer, and smart payment options, as well as satellite messaging via Beidou and off-grid connectivity through 2.4GHz StarLink.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Nova 15’s triple rear camera setup, led by a 50MP primary sensor, complemented by a 12MP RYYB portrait lens and a 1.5MP multispectral color sensor. The front camera also impresses with a 50MP sensor, and both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.

Fueling the device is a robust 6000mAh silicon anode battery, paired with speedy 100W wired charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB Type-C, and support for multiple satellite navigation systems such as GPS, Beidou, Galileo, and NavIC.

If the Huawei Nova 15 becomes available in Nepal, it is anticipated to start at NPR 65,999 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant, with the higher storage option expected to be priced at NPR 72,999.
