Huawei Introduces Nova Flip S With New Colors and Enhanced Features

Huawei has officially introduced the Nova Flip S in China, bringing a sleek, foldable design with updated color choices and a competitive price. The device closely resembles its predecessor, the Nova Flip, but adds fresh aesthetics and improved value for users.

The Nova Flip S features a 2.14-inch OLED cover display and a large 6.94-inch LTPO OLED main display, offering adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz and a smooth 300Hz touch sampling rate. The phone retains the classic clamshell foldable form factor, now available in six vibrant colors: Feather Black, White, Azure Blue, Green, Soft Pink, and Star Black. Buyers can select between glass or vegan leather backs, both framed in durable aluminum, with the glass version weighing 199g and the leather model at 195g. The device is splash-resistant with an IPX4 rating.

Under the hood, the Nova Flip S is powered by a Kirin 8 series processor, likely the Kirin 8030, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS 5.1, delivering the company’s latest software experience. The camera setup includes a 50MP main lens with RYYB color filter and an 8MP ultrawide lens on the back, while a 32MP front camera handles selfies. Video recording is supported up to 4K at 30 frames per second, with slow-motion capture at 720p and advanced image stabilization.

A robust 4400mAh battery fuels the device, supporting 66W wired fast charging that can replenish the phone to full capacity in roughly 40 minutes. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C, and NFC, alongside a suite of sensors like a side-mounted fingerprint reader, gyroscope, and compass.

In China, the Nova Flip S starts at CNY 3,388 for the sole 8GB/256GB configuration. If the device arrives in Nepal, expectations are for a starting price around NPR 70,000, making it a compelling option in the foldable smartphone market.
