Huawei Watch D2 Arrives in Nepal

Huawei has introduced the Watch D2 in Nepal, a smartwatch that stands out with its advanced health monitoring capabilities, particularly its 24/7 blood pressure tracking. This feature goes beyond typical smartwatch functions, providing detailed readings for daytime, nighttime, and overall averages, even while sleeping. Users can also take manual blood pressure measurements directly from their wrist.

The Watch D2 measures 48 × 38 × 13.3mm and features an ultra-slim design despite its advanced technology. It comes in Black or Gold, with options for either a black fluoroelastomer or white composite leather strap. The 1.82-inch AMOLED display delivers 480 × 408 resolution with 347 PPI and a peak brightness of 1500 nits.

In addition to blood pressure monitoring, the watch includes a range of sensors for comprehensive health tracking, such as 9-axis IMU, optical heart rate monitoring, ECG, and temperature sensing. It can display up to nine health indicators simultaneously. The device also features Huawei's TruSleep monitoring and stress tracking for a complete wellness overview. Although it carries an IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance, Huawei advises against swimming, hot showers, or exposure to high water pressure.

Battery life reaches up to six days under typical use, but drops to approximately one day when using continuous blood pressure monitoring. The watch supports wireless charging at 5V/1A, making power-ups convenient despite the reduced runtime with advanced monitoring enabled.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC for contactless payments, though NFC functionality depends on local service availability. The watch works with Android 8.0 or higher and iOS 13.0 or newer, and features a rotating crown, function buttons, a built-in speaker, and a microphone for call handling.
