ICT Award 2017 Launches with Open Nomination Period

I C Tech Media has announced the launch of the ICT Award 2017, aimed at celebrating significant contributions to Nepal's information and communication technology sector. Despite challenges and limited resources, dedicated individuals and organizations are driving positive change, and this award seeks to acknowledge their efforts. The award ceremony is set for August 18, 2017 (the 2nd of Bhadra, 2074), with the nomination registration deadline falling on July 15, 2017 (Ashar 31).

This will be the second time I C Media Tech is organizing the ICT Award, following a tradition started during the anniversary of Living with ICT Magazine. Last year’s winners included Sato Deal, Cool Techno Lab, NepFlight, and Yellow Nepal, with Computer Scientist Muni Bahadur Shakya receiving the ICT Pioneer Award.

The ICT Award 2017 features five distinct categories. The Best Start-Up Company ICT Award will honor newly established ICT companies with fewer than three years in operation and a strategic business model for sustained growth. The Best Innovative Product ICT Award targets companies that have developed groundbreaking products with the potential to significantly impact everyday life and achieve commercial success within a year of launch. The ICT Pioneer Award recognizes an individual who has been instrumental in nurturing Nepal’s ICT landscape since its early days. The Best Nepali Diaspora ICT Award is for Nepali-origin individuals living abroad who have achieved international recognition and enhanced Nepal’s global standing in ICT. Finally, the ICT Scholar Award will be presented to a full-time student demonstrating exceptional innovation in the IT field up to the graduation level.

Eligible candidates and organizations can submit nominations through an online portal or via the official mobile app of Living with ICT.
