Infinix Smart 8 With 90Hz Display Now Available in Nepal

Infinix Mobile has officially launched the Smart 8 in Nepal, marking the arrival of an affordable new option in the budget smartphone segment. The model shares several design and hardware traits with Tecno’s Pop 8, its sister brand, and targets users seeking solid performance without premium pricing.

The Smart 8 sports a plastic body with a sleek flat design and arrives in four color choices: Timber Black, Galaxy White, Crystal Green, and Shiny Gold. On the front, it features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a centered punch-hole cutout for the camera, a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling, and a peak brightness of 500 nits enhanced by Dark Region Enhancement technology. A distinctive "Magic Ring" area mimics Apple’s Dynamic Island for improved UI interaction.

Powering the device is the Unisoc Tiger T606 chipset, built on a 12nm process and featuring eight cores with a top speed of 1.6 GHz. Memory configurations include either 3GB RAM with 64GB storage or 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, both of which support a virtual RAM expansion of up to 4GB. Users can further expand storage through a microSD card, though the exact limit is unspecified. The phone runs Android 13 with Infinix’s XOS 13 interface.

For photography, the Smart 8 offers a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 13MP main sensor paired with an additional camera of unspecified specs, alongside an 8MP front camera ideal for selfies and video calls. A robust 5000mAh battery ensures long-lasting endurance, while security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Fast Unlock.

The Infinix Smart 8 is priced at NPR 11,499 for the 3/64GB variant and NPR 12,999 for the 4/128GB model. It is now available at authorized mobile retailers across Nepal, providing consumers with an attractive combination of a vibrant display, capable performance, and enduring battery life at an accessible price point.
