Infinix has announced XOS 16, its upcoming major software update built on Android 16. This release prioritizes visual upgrades, personalization options, and a suite of AI-driven tools. According to the company, all future Infinix smartphones will ship with XOS 16 pre-installed, while existing users can expect a phased rollout over the coming months.

Visual Design and Personalization

XOS 16 introduces a fresh visual identity called Glow-space, accompanied by smooth "liquid motion animations" for transitions. Users gain extensive customization options, including new system app icons, wallpapers, and custom themes. The lock screen and home screen support optional depth effects, and an AI-powered theme generator can create themes from text or image inputs.

AI Features

Artificial intelligence stands as the centerpiece of XOS 16. The update includes several AI tools such as the Folax assistant, AI-powered note-taking, recording summaries, and Flash Memo for capturing and organizing on-screen content. For communication, the AI Call Assistant offers real-time translation, call summaries, and can automatically answer important calls.
