However, after extensive use, its substantial size and weight present significant drawbacks, making it less practical for everyday carry. Design & Build

The iPhone 12 Pro Max features a glass front and back with a stainless steel frame, resulting in a substantial weight of 228 grams. Its wide, bulky design can feel uncomfortable, especially compared to the more compact iPhone 12. The flat edges and IP68 dust and water resistance are positive aspects, but the phone's slipperiness and propensity to attract fingerprints are drawbacks. A robust case is highly recommended, though it further reduces the phone's already limited comfort.

Display

The 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen is vibrant, bright, and color-accurate, providing an excellent viewing experience for content consumption. However, the standard 60Hz refresh rate feels dated, and Apple's iOS is not well-optimized for one-handed use on such a large screen. Accessing folders on the side or entering a PIN while wearing a mask can be cumbersome.

Performance

The A14 Bionic chipset delivers top-notch performance, surpassing many laptop CPUs and enabling advanced camera features. However, the lack of a high-refresh-rate display means the user experience does not fully capitalize on this powerful processor.

Cameras

The iPhone 12 Pro Max's camera setup is its standout feature, with a 47% larger primary sensor that allows for superior low-light performance.
