iPhone 17e Rumored to Ditch Notch for Dynamic Island

As Apple prepares to unveil the iPhone 17 series in the coming weeks, early rumors about the iPhone 17e have emerged. Although it is unlikely that Apple will launch it alongside the main iPhone 17 lineup, reports indicate that the iPhone 17e will move away from the notch design in favor of the Dynamic Island.

According to the trusted tipster Digital Chat Station, Apple plans to replace the notch with the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 17e. Alongside this design shift, the phone is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display. However, it may still carry over the 60Hz refresh rate seen in the iPhone 16e, leading some to speculate that Apple might be reusing the iPhone 15's design for this model.

The iPhone 17e is rumored to come with the same 12MP front camera and 48MP rear camera setup, along with Face ID functionality. It will reportedly be equipped with the upcoming A19 chip, which will also power the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will feature the more advanced A19 Pro chip.
