iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Now Available in Nepal With Updated Pricing

Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in the Nepalese market through its authorized distributor, Generation Next (GenNext) Communication. Consumers can now find these models in numerous retail locations nationwide, including Evo Store on Durbar Marg, Futureworld on New Road, and several other authorized dealers in cities such as Pokhara, Butwal, and Birtamod.

The iPhone 8 is priced at NPR 91,000 for the 64GB version, with the 256GB variant listed at NPR 119,500. The larger iPhone 8 Plus starts at NPR 112,500 for the 64GB model, while the 256GB option costs NPR 136,000. All listed prices reflect information current as of July 25, 2019. As an added incentive, GenNext has partnered with NCell to provide customers with complimentary 2GB of data per month for eight months.

Both devices boast the industry-leading A11 Bionic processor, which delivers exceptional speed and efficiency, particularly for augmented reality applications. The camera systems stand out as well, with the iPhone 8 featuring a single 12-megapixel sensor and the iPhone 8 Plus offering a dual 12-megapixel setup, both achieving a remarkable Dxomark score of 94. These cameras also support the innovative portrait lighting mode for enhanced photo quality.

Display technology on both models includes Apple’s True Tone feature, which dynamically adjusts screen color temperature to reduce eye strain in different lighting conditions. The devices also introduce a glass back design that enables wireless charging, although users wishing to utilize fast charging will need to purchase Apple's 29W USB-C adapter and USB-C-to-Lightning cable separately.

While the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus may appear dated compared to more recent releases such as the iPhone X, they continue to offer strong performance and advanced features. Potential buyers should weigh the value proposition of these models against newer, higher-priced options when making their purchasing decisions.
