Vivo has recently announced the iQOO Watch GT 2 in China, alongside the iQOO 15 smartphone. This new wearable comes in two variants, Bluetooth and eSIM, and brings a host of features that make it a strong contender in the affordable smartwatch market.
The iQOO Watch GT 2 sports a sleek design with minor tweaks from its predecessor. It now measures 10.97 mm in thickness, slightly thinner than before, but wider and taller, which has increased its weight to between 34.8 and 35.8 grams. The watch boasts a black aluminum alloy body and soft adhesive straps, with an additional “Lingyun” strap available as an optional accessory. It is offered in three color options: Blazing Black for the eSIM model, and Phantom Black and Starry Sky White for the Bluetooth versions.
The display has been upgraded to a 2.07-inch AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 2400 nits and an 82.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. Users can quickly switch to a custom photo dial by simply tapping their phone’s NFC chip. Battery life varies between versions: the Bluetooth model carries a 695 mAh cell lasting up to 17 days on a single charge, while the eSIM variant houses a 595 mAh battery good for around 8 days of typical use. Both versions support wired charging, with the necessary cable included in the box.
Running on Blue River OS 3.0, the iQOO Watch GT 2 integrates Deepseek AI, enabling users to ask real-time questions, get travel recommendations, and more simply by raising their wrist. The watch includes a suite of health monitoring features such as optical heart rate and blood oxygen tracking, sleep analysis, stress monitoring, and all-day heart rate checks. It also supports over 100 different workout modes and features an e-Sports Mode 2.0 for gaming sessions, where users can monitor their heart rate during play.
Additional capabilities include voice-to-text conversion for WeChat or independent communication on the eSIM model, along with NFC support for contactless payments and remote car unlocking. The device is equipped with various sensors, including an acceleration sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, ambient light sensor, and Hall sensor, and offers GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and Beidou navigation options. It also features a built-in speaker and microphone for audio functionality.
In China, the Bluetooth version of the iQOO Watch GT 2 is priced at CNY 499, while the eSIM version costs CNY 699. If the device makes its way to Nepal, expectations are that the Bluetooth model will retail for around NPR 9,999 and the eSIM version for approximately NPR 13,999.
