Itel Unveils Budget-Friendly A100C Smartphone with OnePlus 15 Design

Itel has launched the A100C, a budget-friendly smartphone that takes visual cues from the high-end OnePlus 15, though it uses more affordable internals. While the design resembles the flagship, the performance and features reflect a much lower price point.

The Itel A100C sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth and reasonably sharp display at 267 PPI, though it falls short of a true Retina level. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 400 nits and boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 90%, along with a dynamic bar similar to Dynamic Island, albeit less functional.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the entry-level Unisoc T7100 processor, paired with either 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Itel markets this as up to 12GB by including an additional 8GB of virtual memory. Storage options include 64GB or 128GB, expandable via microSD. The phone runs on Itel OS 15, based on Android 15 Go edition.

A standout feature is the massive 5000mAh battery, which Itel claims can last up to 32 days on standby. Charging is done via USB-C, though the exact power output of the adapter is not specified.

Camera capabilities are modest, with an 8MP single rear camera and a 5MP front camera situated in a teardrop notch. The device includes an interesting Utralink Free Call feature that enables Bluetooth-based calling and messaging without needing Wi-Fi or cellular data. Additional features include an IR sensor, DTS-tuned audio for enhanced sound quality, and MIL-STD-810H certification for durability, allowing it to survive drops from up to 1.2 meters.

The Itel A100C is available in four color options: Pure Black, Titanium Gold, Blaze Blue, and Silk Green. Despite its budget positioning, the phone includes useful features such as side-mounted fingerprint sensing and face unlock.

As of now, Itel has not officially announced the price of the A100C in Nepal. However, given its specifications and market positioning, we expect it to start around NPR 15,000. We will update this article once the official pricing is revealed.
