Itel Launches City 200, A200, and A200+ Rugged Smartphones With 120Hz Displays

Itel has expanded its rugged smartphone lineup with the global launch of three new models: the City 200, A200, and A200+. These devices build on the company's rugged design philosophy, offering enhanced durability and practical features for users who need reliable performance in demanding environments.

All three phones share several key characteristics, including IP65 dust and water resistance ratings, MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards, and 120Hz refresh rate displays. The City 200 stands out with a slightly larger 6.78-inch screen compared to the 6.75-inch displays found on the A200 and A200+. Additionally, the A200 and A200+ include 'Wet and Oily' touch control technology, which improves usability even with wet or greasy fingers.

In terms of camera capabilities, the City 200 features a more advanced 50MP main camera, while the A200 and A200+ come with a 13MP camera setup. Battery life varies across the range, with the City 200 equipped with a 5,200mAh battery, the A200 with a 5,000mAh battery, and the A200+ boasting the largest capacity at 6,000mAh.

Software configurations also differ between the models. The City 200 runs full Android 15, offering access to the full Google Play Store and services, while the A200 and A200+ utilize Android 15 Go Edition, which is optimized for lower-memory devices.

All three phones are powered by the 4G-only Unisoc T7250 chipset built on a 12nm process. Memory configurations vary, with the City 200 supporting up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, whereas the A200 series is limited to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

A notable feature across the lineup is UltraLink Free Call support, which enables users to make voice calls, record voice memos, and send text messages up to 2km away from a cellular network under ideal conditions.

As of now, Itel has not released official pricing for these models in Nepal. However, given their feature set and expected competitive positioning, these rugged smartphones could present strong value propositions for Nepalese consumers seeking durable devices with long battery life and reliable performance.
