Itel Super 26 Ultra Debuts with Large AMOLED Screen and Massive Battery

Itel has unveiled the Super 26 Ultra, a new entry-level smartphone designed to attract buyers in developing markets, especially in regions like Nepal and India. Known for offering affordable devices, Itel positions this model against competitors such as Tecno and budget Xiaomi options.

The Super 26 Ultra stands out with a sizable 6.8-inch curved AMOLED screen that boasts a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and exceptional 4,500 nits peak brightness, rare features for phones at this price point. The display includes Gorilla Glass 7i protection and an integrated optical fingerprint sensor, along with IP65 water and dust resistance ratings.

Under the hood, the device runs on the Unisoc T7300 4G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. While the processor manages everyday tasks adequately, its limited graphics capabilities mean it is not suited for demanding games.

Camera capabilities include a 50MP primary lens accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor on the rear, while a 32MP camera handles selfies. These sensors provide decent performance for everyday photography but lack advanced features found in higher-end models.

A major highlight is the massive 6,000mAh battery, reflecting a growing trend among budget manufacturers. The phone supports 18W charging speeds, sufficient for daily use. It runs on ItelOS 15.1.2, based on Android 15, offering a clean and responsive user interface.

The Itel Super 26 Ultra will begin open sales in Nigeria starting September 15, priced at NGN 227,700. For Nepal, the expected starting price is around NPR 23,500, making it a compelling option for budget-conscious consumers seeking a feature-rich smartphone without breaking the bank.
