Lenovo IdeaPad 3 (2022) Launches in Nepal with Updated Specs and Budget-Friendly Pricing

Lenovo has released the 2022 edition of its budget-friendly IdeaPad 3 laptop in Nepal, building on the success of last year's model. This new version continues to target cost-conscious users while offering updated specifications and features.

The laptop retains its all-plastic chassis construction but now comes in three color options: Abyss Blue, Arctic Blue, and Misty Blue, though availability may vary by color. Display options include a 14-inch or 15.6-inch IPS screen, both sharing similar brightness levels at around 300 nits and 45% NTSC color coverage. The larger 15.6-inch model also has an optional touch screen version, though this variant is not currently available in Nepal.

Performance options include the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor, featuring 10 cores (2 performance and 8 efficiency) with Hyper-Threading for a total of 12 threads and speeds up to 4.5GHz. For AMD users, the device offers the Ryzen 7 5825U processor, an improvement over the previous generation Ryzen 5700U. Notably, there is no Ryzen 6000 series option available at this time.

Memory and storage configurations include 8GB of soldered RAM with an available SO-DIMM slot for expansion up to 16GB. All models come with a 512GB SSD, and while there is a vacant HDD bay for additional storage, more advanced models with a second M.2 drive are not available in Nepal.

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The laptop also supports fast charging through its 65W power adapter, capable of reaching 80% charge in about an hour when using the Rapid Charge feature in the Vantage app. The USB-C port also supports Power Delivery 3.0 for charging. Other ports include two USB ports (one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.2 Gen 1), an HDMI port, a combined audio jack, a card reader, and a power connector.

Currently in Nepal, the AMD Ryzen 7 5825U variant with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD is priced at NPR 82,000 and can be purchased through authorized Lenovo distributors such as Nagmani International and various retail stores.
