Lenovo Launches Legion R9000P 2025 Ultimate Edition with Flagship AMD and NVIDIA Hardware

Lenovo has announced the Legion R9000P 2025 Ultimate Edition, a gaming laptop built to workstation-level performance standards. The device combines AMD's Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and NVIDIA's RTX 5080 graphics card, delivering approximately 275W of sustained power for demanding games and applications.

The laptop sports a 16-inch OLED screen with a sharp 2560 x 1600 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and impressive 1100 nits peak brightness. It carries Dolby Vision and DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certifications, along with support for both G-Sync and FreeSync Premium for smooth frame rates across different GPU platforms.

Under the hood, the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D offers 16 cores and 32 threads, outperforming Intel's Core Ultra 9 285HX by about 16% in gaming benchmarks. The RTX 5080 GPU runs at 175W, paired with Lenovo's Qiankun Ultra cooling system that includes Falcon 2.0 fans and a custom vapor chamber to manage the high thermal output.

Memory and storage include 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM and a 1TB PCIe 5.0 SSD, with an additional M.2 slot for future upgrades. Connectivity options cover Wi-Fi 7, 2.5GbE Ethernet, USB-C with DisplayPort 2.1 and 140W charging, HDMI 2.1, USB-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The keyboard features per-key RGB backlighting and a larger touchpad, while audio is managed by a four-speaker Nahimic setup. Lenovo has integrated AI tools such as Legion AI Tuning, DeepSeek R1, and the Tianxi assistant, although some features may be more relevant to the Chinese market.

In China, the Legion R9000P 2025 Ultimate Edition starts at CNY 21,999. If it becomes available in Nepal, prices are expected to range from NPR 350,000 to NPR 500,000 depending on the configuration. However, previous Legion R9000P models have been China-exclusive, and warranty support outside China has been unclear, suggesting that availability in Nepal may be limited to the gray market.
