Lenovo Launches ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 Desktop PCs in Nepal

Lenovo has expanded its desktop lineup in Nepal with the launch of the ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3, offering two distinct configurations tailored to different performance needs. The base model is powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i3-12100 processor, while the higher-end variant features the more robust Intel Core i5-12400.

The i3-12100 is a four-core, eight-thread processor with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.30GHz and a 12MB smart cache, paired with Intel UHD 730 integrated graphics. In contrast, the i5-12400 brings six cores, twelve threads, an 18MB smart cache, and a higher turbo frequency of 4.40GHz, also using the same UHD 730 graphics but with an increased dynamic frequency.

Both configurations share common features including 8GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, a 512GB M.2 Gen 4 NVMe SSD, and support for up to WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The Neo 50s Gen 3 provides flexibility for upgrades with two free M.2 slots—one for WLAN and another for an additional SSD—as well as a 2.5”/3.5” disk bay and a slim optical drive bay. A discrete TPM 2.0 chip ensures enhanced security.

In terms of design, the desktop features a sleek black chassis with the Lenovo branding on the front. It offers a comprehensive set of ports, including on the front: two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, a headphone/microphone combo jack, and an optional card reader. On the rear, users will find two USB 2.0 Type-A, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (one supporting Smart Power On), VGA, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, Gigabit Ethernet, a 3.5mm line-out jack, and optional serial and parallel ports.

The Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 is now available across Nepal, bundled with a black USB Calliope Mouse and a black USB Traditional Keyboard. The i3 variant is priced at NPR 70,450, while the i5 model costs NPR 84,090.
