LG C2 OLED Evo TV Debuts in Nepal With Enhanced Display and Audio Features

LG Nepal has launched the C2 OLED Evo TV, the follow-up to last year's highly praised C1 OLED model. For those seeking top-tier picture quality, OLED technology remains the gold standard owing to its perfect contrast and vibrant color accuracy, at least until more advanced QD-OLED options arrive in the market.

The C2 series is offered in sizes from 42 to 83 inches, though only the 65-inch version is currently on sale in Nepal. This model features an elegant slim stand and a notably lighter design, weighing 47% less than its predecessor. A key upgrade lies in the OLED Evo display, which promises up to 20% greater brightness along with enhanced color and contrast levels. Smaller 42 and 48-inch units still benefit from OLED Evo technology but do not reach the same peak brightness as larger models.

These TVs support Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, and HLG, with the addition of Precision Detail Format for improved contrast handling. They provide a native 120Hz refresh rate, variable refresh rate via G-SYNC and FreeSync Premium, and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for reduced gaming lag, making them ideal for console and PC gaming. The response time is under 1 millisecond, and they are compatible with NVIDIA's GeForce Now cloud gaming service.

Audio performance has also been upgraded with 40W down-firing speakers that support Dolby Atmos. The new Alpha 9 Gen 5 AI Processor enables virtual 7.1.2 channel surround sound, an improvement over the C1's 5.1.2 setup, and the TVs are WiSA certified for pairing with compatible wireless speakers.

Under the hood, the C2 features LG's latest webOS 22 platform, allowing personalized user profiles and support for Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and LG's ThinQ AI. While Chromecast is not supported, AirPlay 2 enables streaming from Apple devices. The Magic Remote remains for easy navigation, and connectivity options include four HDMI 2.1 ports (supporting 4K at 120Hz), three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, digital audio out, RF antenna input, and an RS-232C mini-jack.

The 65-inch LG C2 OLED Evo TV carries a standard price of NPR 512,490 but is currently available at a New Year discount price of NPR 425,590 through authorized LG retailers in Nepal.
