LG Unveils Q6 Series With Q6, Q6a, and Q6 Plus Variants

LG has officially introduced the Q6 series, which includes three variants: the LG Q6, LG Q6a, and LG Q6 Plus. While these models share many core features, they differ primarily in their RAM and storage capacities. The Q6a comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, the standard Q6 offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and the Q6 Plus provides the most with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

All three phones boast a 5.5-inch 18:9 FullVision display that resolves at 2160 x 1080 pixels, delivering a sharp 442 pixels per inch. They inherit the durable 7000-series aluminum build from LG's higher-end devices. However, performance is handled by the modest 28nm Snapdragon 435 system-on-chip. Each device houses a non-removable 3000mAh battery.

For photography, the rear camera is a single 13MP standard-angle sensor, while the front camera is a 5MP wide-angle sensor covering a 100-degree field of view and supporting LG's face recognition technology. Notably, the series does not include a fingerprint sensor. The operating system is Android 7.1.1, layered with LG's UX 6.0 interface. Connectivity options include USB-C and Bluetooth 4.2, though 5GHz WiFi is absent.

The Q6 series will launch in multiple color options. Astro Black and Ice Platinum are available across all models, with TerraGold restricted to the Q6 and Q6 Plus. The Q6a additionally features Marine Blue, and the Q6 has an exclusive Mystique White variant.

Although official pricing has yet to be announced, the devices are expected to sit in the midrange category despite the omission of certain premium features such as a fingerprint sensor and a more powerful processor. The Q6 series will initially roll out in selected Asian markets in August, with Europe, North America, and other regions following later.
