Motorola has expanded its popular Moto G series with the launch of the Moto G64 5G in Nepal. This new addition brings the company's latest design language and performance upgrades to the mid-range segment.
The Moto G64 5G sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. While the display features sizable bezels, particularly on the chin, it is housed in a durable 3D Premium PMMA body with an IP52 water-repellent rating. The phone comes in three color options: Mint Green, Pearl Blue, and Ice Lilac.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the brand-new MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset, marking the global debut of this processor. The octa-core chip, built on a 6nm process, boasts a maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz. It is slightly overclocked compared to the Dimensity 7020. Users can choose between two memory configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage or 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage, both of which support up to 1TB of additional storage via a microSD card.
On the photography front, the Moto G64 5G features a dual-camera arrangement on the rear and a single camera on the front. The primary rear camera is a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilization, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens that also functions as a macro shooter. Thanks to Quad Pixel technology, the main camera's effective resolution becomes 12.5MP. The front camera is a 16MP unit positioned in a center-aligned hole-punch cutout, supporting facial recognition.
The device is equipped with a substantial 6,000 mAh battery, enabling long-lasting use, and supports 30W TurboPower fast charging, though the box includes a 33W charger. Connectivity options include 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth version 5.3, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port, alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack. Notably, NFC support is absent.
Running on Android 14 with Motorola's My UX interface, the phone promises one major OS update and three years of security patches. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Additional sensors on board are accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, gyroscope, SAR, sensor hub, and electronic compass.
The Moto G64 5G is now available in Nepal, with the base 8GB/128GB model priced at NPR 27,499 and the higher-end 12GB/256GB variant priced at NPR 30,999. The phone can be found at mobile retail stores across the country.
