MSI GF65 Thin 10UE Review: A Balanced Thin-and-Light Gaming Laptop

MSI continues to establish itself as a reliable name in the gaming laptop market, and its GF65 Thin 10UE model offers an interesting balance of portability and performance. Weighing only 1.86 kilograms, this 15.6-inch device houses a powerful NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU paired with an Intel Core i7-10750H processor from the previous generation. While its gaming capabilities are strong, several compromises in display quality, build materials, and battery endurance prevent it from being a top recommendation at its NPR 215,000 price point.

The laptop features a 15.6-inch matte IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, though it covers only 45% of the NTSC color gamut, resulting in flat and less vibrant colors that may disappoint creative users. The keyboard is a full-sized chiclet design with single-zone red backlighting, lacking a dedicated number pad. The trackpad works well for everyday tasks with Windows Precision drivers, but its plastic surface and integrated buttons feel cheap. A 720p webcam sits above the screen, though it lacks a privacy shutter and produces grainy video quality.
